Vantage Point and 88 Minutes

This week Elicia and I went and saw Vantage Point and 88 Minutes. Both films were full of action and suspense. Nothing like a good action film (or two). So lets put them up against each other.

Acting: The edge definitely goes to Vantage Point. Dennis Quaid, Matthew Fox and Forrest Whitaker… nuff said. Action Sequences: Vantage Point had really good chase scenes and explosions, the President of the United states getting shot, just all kinds of chaos. 88 Minutes really only followed Pacino and there were some dull moments. So Vantage Point gets that one. But suspense definitely goes to 88 Minutes… but barely. Pacino and the gang did an excellent job making all the suspense really believable and edge of your seat. Okay… Originality: Vantage Point no doubt had a great way of portraying this film. But both films left you wondering until the climax of the film when you find everything out. So all in all I prolly give the edge to Vantage Point only cause the way it was filmed and the Action sequences were definitely on kill. Nothing make an action film like the action.

I give Vantage an 8 out of 10 and 88 Minutes a 7. Both good films to go see on a Friday night if you just dying to see a good action film.
