The Sentinel

My roomate, Ben, Marcus, and I went and saw The Sentinel with 16 other people at AMC. That’s right, there were only 19 people in the theatre on opening weekend, Saturday. I was quite surprised by the crowd and the movie. Michael Douglas and Keifer Sutherland did a great job in this movie. Well filmed and good editing. Ebert and Roeper gave this 2 thumbs up but I thought (and so did my brother) the plot was lacking in many places so this gets a 6 out of 10. My brother also thought that this film lacked some realism. Some things were just hard to believe than others and I guess maybe he was looking for a more 24-like film. Bottom line, if you really like Michael Douglas and Keifer (Eva Longoria isn’t bad to look at either) go see it. Otherwise its a good film to rent on DVD when it comes out and you have nothing else you really want to see… Personally I can’t wait for Superman Returns, MI:III, X3, and The Da Vinci Code. With those movies coming out soon, who has time to watch DVDs.
