Well… I have been having trouble updating this recently. Oh well, they are just movies. Anyway, I saw Pirates of the Caribbean 2 on last Friday the 9th and I have to say that I wasn’t that impressed. It is clearly better than Superman Returns but it is definately not better than the first Pirates of the Caribbean. I just didn’t think there was enough here to make this a good film. Don’t be confused here, the SE and CG work was top notch (ILM of course) and some of the sences were very convincingly realistic, but I just couldn’t get my head around this movie. It took directions that made no sense and in the end just leaves you hanging (like the Matrix, but not nearly as bad). So with that I leave this one with a 7.5 out of 10. A good movie if you are a fan of the 1st movie, but just not enough for me to say it’s spectacular. Others may feel different about this film, but trust me, I don’t care what they think.n
