Well…. it’s really interesting to me that in many of the sports sites out there (ESPN, FOX Sports) actually have my Braves winning it all this year. This surprises me because I have never really seen sports analysts give the Braves the respect due. They are one of the most consistent contenders every year for the last 16 years. Their pitching staff has had its trials but always has been good. So I don’t see how this year is any different than any other year. Why didn’t they say the Braves could take the title 2 years ago? Granted this year we will have one of the best pitching staffs in the NL and with Chipper Jones, Mark Teixeira, Brian McCann, and Jeff Francoeur in the lineup it will be one exciting year.
But baseball is a marathon, so I don’t expect much more than Atlanta to show the consistency they always have had. Good pitching, decent hitting, and always a chance to come back and win a game or two. Hopefully Interleague play will not be our downfall this year. If it wasn’t for that, we could have won our 16th Division title in a row. Oh well… GO BRAVES!!
