Welcome to my blog... the home of complete ordered chaos.

Mission Impossible: III
Well, well, well, on to the first Summer blockbuster of the season. Probably the most anticipated movie of the summer (at least for most critics). Mission Impossible: III was definately on the list of big movies to see this year for me and I have to say that I wasn't as impressed with this one as I was MI:II. This movie lacked something that makes all Mission Impossible movies shine. I would definately say that this one was better than the first mission, but has nothing on the second. I don't want to give much of the plot away so I will make this vague but detailed. Tom Cruise, did an excellent job as always in the role of Ethan Hunt, and it was nice to see Ving Rhames back in action, however, I liked his character in the second mission a whole lot better. Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne) is also in this film and I am happy to see him back in a decent action film again (it's nice to see some producers not hold a gruge against what Laurence says about America). The villians in this movie are clever and the plot, as always, takes some nice twists at the end.

So... I guess after all that and in honor of Tom, I have to give this movie a Scientology 7 out of 10. :) Yeah, just a 7, maybe even a 6.5 but Scientology 7 is funnier. So if this trend continues (especially if X:3 or DaVinci Code disappoints) then I will have to stop getting my hopes up for any good movies this Summer and wait for Talledga Nights with Will Ferrell and Cars to come out in the Fall.

The Sentinel
My roomate, Ben, Marcus, and I went and saw The Sentinel with 16 other people at AMC. That's right, there were only 19 people in the theatre on opening weekend, Saturday. I was quite surprised by the crowd and the movie. Michael Douglas and Keifer Sutherland did a great job in this movie. Well filmed and good editing. Ebert and Roeper gave this 2 thumbs up but I thought (and so did my brother) the plot was lacking in many places so this gets a 6 out of 10. My brother also thought that this film lacked some realism. Some things were just hard to believe than others and I guess maybe he was looking for a more 24-like film. Bottom line, if you really like Michael Douglas and Keifer (Eva Longoria isn't bad to look at either) go see it. Otherwise its a good film to rent on DVD when it comes out and you have nothing else you really want to see... Personally I can't wait for Superman Returns, MI:III, X3, and The Da Vinci Code. With those movies coming out soon, who has time to watch DVDs.

Honda Civic UK
Well... saw this on Digg: Honda Civic UK commercial. Click on the watch button and check it out. This is amazing! It reminds me a lot of the Honda Cogs commercial. Why can't some of the commecials in the US be like the ones in the UK?

Lucky Number Slevin
Well... I like movies too much and there will be even more movie postings in May but I guess that is what a blog is for... So Ben, Stacy, Marcus, and myself went and saw Lucky Number Slevin starring Josh Hartnett, Bruce Willis, and Morgan Freeman on Saturday. With that, I would have to say that this was a witty, intellengent, and well filmed movie. I liked the suspense, and action of this film. Definately not your typical Crime drama. Okay, to the point... I give this a 7.5 out of 10. Well filmed, worth the price of admission, but it had one love scene in it that was just uneccessary.

macZOT is giving away App Zapper
Being an Macinaic now, I want to do my part to make the community better... So here is my part at doing that. MacZOT will be giving away 1000 copies of App Zapper 1.3 for free if 259 people can blog about this promotion. So... here is my contribution to the Apple/Mac/computer community. Apparently this post is worth $50.00 so I am in a giving mood today.

Inside Man
On Friday my brother and I went and saw Inside Man with Denzel Washington, Clive Owen, Jodie Foster, and one of my personal favorite new actors Chiwetel Ejiofor who was the villian in Serenity. This is a very clever movie, and the writing is quite good. I can't believe Ebert didn't like this movie (Roeper is my hero), maybe he just doesn't like Spike Lee movies. Anyways, I thought that this movie was well filmed and it kept me engaged all the way to the end, which was also very good. It reminded me a little of a M. Night Shyamalan type of a movie which you find out everything at the end, thinking about the movie well after it is over. I must see this again so I can see it in a whole new light. I give this movie a 8 out of 10. This is a film that both male and female audiences will like (or at least I would think), and I dare say one of Spike Lee's best movies.

My Dream: Confirmed
Well... it's now offical. There will be an Apple Store in Omaha!!! A pretty reliable source, Think Secret, has come out and stated that of the 40 new Apple retial stores planned to come out this year, Omaha, NE is on the list. I am SOOO excited. My brother and I, have for the last year and a half or so, gone to the Apple Store in Des Monies hoping for the day we w2ouldn't have to make the long trip anymore. Well that dream will come true. I didn't want to get my hopes up too much after being told at a CompUSA that there would be an Apple Store, but now they are cause there is a list and Omaha is on it. :) Happy Days are here.

V for Vendetta
Yesterday, my twin brother, Marcus, and I went and saw V for Vendetta and I would have to say this is the best film I have seen all year. I was quite surprised at the greatness of this film (they used the 1812 Overture in the Soundtrack). I caught myself several times saying to my brother, that I have to get this film when it comes out on DVD. Being that this was a little bit different movie I really like the originality of the film in comparison to other action sci-fis. I give this film an 8 out of 10. The Wachowski Brothers did an excellent job in filming this and really made it great for viewers to watch. The acting was superb and I loved Evey (Padme in Star Wars) in this film (marry me Natalie). My brother said he liked Ultravoilet better, which I haven't seen, but after hearing the reviews of that and watching this film I don't see it. Or maybe it has just been a long time coming since I have seen a good film and overinflate my take on V. Either way... not a disappointment; go see it if you love Sci-Fi action.

Del.icio.us on Spotlight
I was on Digg.com today and I found this sweet new plugin for Spotlight. It's called delimport, which allows you to search your Del.icio.us bookmarks via Spotlight. This is awesome!! I cannot wait to install this on my Powerbook. Now all I need is a way to search other users delicious bookmarks as well.

Google Local for your cellphone
Well... Google Local on a Cellphone. This is unbelievable. I am glad something like this is available and since I will be shopping for a new phone soon I must have one that supports this feature. I am sooooo excited about this. Local maps and directions to anywhere, from your phone. AND it's FREE... Only in America :)
